Description: This dataset contains the locations of elevated water towers in Carteret County, North Carolina. The data were created between August 8th and 9th of 2016 by the Carteret County Information Technology Department, GIS Division. They were compiled using information from the county landmarks feature class, the "Complex" field of the county address feature class, the county water hydrants feature class, an old water tower layer, a layer from the Bogue Banks Water Corporation that contained the locations of water towers in Emerald Isle, and visual analysis of aerial imagery. The attributes contained in the layer include the name of the water tower, latitude ("Lat"), longitude ("Long"), address, and community.
